There is just something special in Fern (Dakota Fanning) that just can't allow her daddy to kill the runt pig in the litter. She agrees to take on the responsibility of taking care of Wilbur (Dominic Scott Kay) if her father will allow her to keep and raise the pig. With her tender loving, Wilbur flourishes only to learn about what awaits him at the end of the season from this barnyard full of colorful characters. Charlotte (Julia Roberts) takes a liking to the little pig and does what she does best and spins a web. Much to the shock and surprise of the farm and small town, the web seems to spell out "some pig", Wilbur becomes famous. Can Charlotte's web keep Wilbur off the dinner table?
