Pride is a true story about an African-American swim coach named Jim Ellis (Terrence Howard) who transforms a group of inner-city kids into an award-winning swim team. A great movie for the whole family, Pride takes us on a journey that follows Ellis and his sidekick, Elston (Bernie Mac) as they take a group of initially unwilling kids from meet to meet, attempting to gain respect among other, equally talented white kids. Set in the racially heated '60's, the group battles prejudice, an angry coach (Tom Arnold) and the many non-believers who doubt the team will ever become Number One.
