"Walk the Line" explores the life of singer/songwriter Johnny Cash, specifically his tumultuous relationship with future-wife June Carter-Cash; and how their years-long connection is influenced by Carter's marriage, drug and alcohol abuse and June's fear he'll not be able to overcome these issues. The movie culminates with Carter's defeat of his drug addiction and June's accepting his proposal of marriage.
